Pops & Bangs

We can reprogram vehicles with a sound effect called "Pops and Bangs" in English, which will produce small explosions and bubbles in the exhaust pipe, producing a very characteristic effect and adapting the intensity to the client's taste.

Please note that this sound effect will degrade your vehicle's catalytic converter prematurely. We recommend using it in conjunction with the installation of a downpipe with DeCat.

Why professional Pops and Bangs reprogramming is important ?

Pops and bangs remapping is a process that involves modifying a vehicle's engine control software to produce a distinctive sound from the exhaust outlet. The sound is a series of pops or pops that occur when the vehicle slows down or shifts gears.

Basically, it consists of igniting the mixture when the piston is partially exhausted and the engine has a load close to 0%.

This means that when the vehicle is going down in RPM without the accelerator pressed without any request for power from the driver, the spark plugs will move the ignition point to the new established values, producing the famous pops or bubbling sounds in the exhaust.

To achieve this sound, the engine control software is modified to allow fuel injection into the exhaust system when the engine speed is reduced. When the fuel burns in the exhaust system, a popping noise is produced, creating the characteristic “pops and bangs” sound.

This reprogramming process is usually performed by connecting the vehicle to specialized diagnostic and programming equipment. The specialized technician accesses the vehicle's engine software and adjusts the parameters to allow fuel injection into the exhaust system at specific times.
