A hybrid turbocharger is a turbocharger that is non-standard, but in particular combines parts from different turbocharger models such as turbine shaft, compressor blade, compressor part, etc. and in some cases from different manufacturers, such as:
Our hybrid turbochargers can be designed and modified in many different ways; this can be as simple as fitting a 360 degree bearing or even less exciting, a "Staggered Gap" full seal ring, and not so simple as fitting a different compressor wheel, replacing the shaft or changing the operating position of the VNT geometry to change the mounting. If this is done, technically the turbocharger is hybrid because it differs from the manufacturer's standard specification and can therefore no longer be considered a standard turbocharger, and here are other possible changes such as:
Larger, stronger bearing allows for higher pressure, stronger axle, larger compressor wheel, and more.
